Hello, this is Tim. And this is Vie and we're back.
We are back. Yep. It's been what nine months. It's been
yes since October.. Yeah, we've
had a lot of things going on. So we were stuck not
being able to do this. We sold our property we moved
we
Didn't sell the property we moved back. We sold property
we moved. We didn't sell the property we moved back and now
we sold the property. Yep. For good. So we had to do
a lot of packing unpacking getting things
ready and now we're done and we're
back in podcasting world. Yes,
so we'll be going back to doing every
Thursday every Thursday and it's going
to be on ayurveda and yoga and it's going
to be marvelous.
It's gonna be way more fun than it
was. Yes, no more having to work on
selling the property less vata derangement
Yes. Less. Not no
vata derangement just less so with that
We're going to start a little series on ayurveda
for mental health, and so we're going to
start that just after this message.
Stay tuned. We'll be right back.
And we're back and we left a subliminal
message in the music that said share our
podcast with all your
friends and sign up
to listen to all our future podcasts
And give us the greatest reviews ever ever.
So what I want to do before we start talking
about yoga and ayurveda is a little bit about what
we've done.
So we sold our work live. We're no
longer there we closed our studio.
We haven't opened
a studio.
We've moved we're no longer in Saint Pete, which is
a great great town. But it changed so
dramatically in the last couple years. It's huge
compared to what it was. We're now
living a little smaller life
in a little town
trying to figure out what we want to be when we
grow up. Exactly. That's what it feels like. Yep. We
got a puppy. Yes. Because we're not traveling anymore.
Yes. We got a wonderful puppy named Freyja. She
is what next week
Well when this podcast is out, she's gonna be three months
old. Yeah, and she's a border collie mix
we don't know what exactly she is yet
or how big she's gonna be. She looks like
she's gonna be big. Yes. We got her from a Kill shelter. Yeah, so
which
Was bad that it's a Kill shelter, but
it's good because they don't do anything unless they
really really have to yes, so they hold
on to dogs and cats for a very long time and
take care of them and try to get them owners. Yes. So
we got a puppy if you
go to our Facebook or our Instagram. Yeah, you
can see pictures of her because she's the ayurvedic
puppy. She's yep completely ayurvedic puppy and
we're just doing construction and things
like that. So now we
can get back into talking about
Our beliefs in yoga and Ayurveda. Yes. So
one of the things that we have seen is that
ayurveda is extremely
important today compared to say
three years ago. Yep, so I will
go with Vie
You're an ayurvedic expert. Please tell me
why true ayurveda or real
ayurveda is so important to the world
now.
well
The world is obviously shifting in many many
ways. So no matter where
you actually live. I'm sure
you have seen major shifts in
your world in
the last couple of years and these shifts keep
increasing and keep increasing.
A lot of times it feels like there
is nothing you can do about it about those shifts
and very often That's true
right there is nothing you can actually do.
Or it feels it feels like there is nothing
you can do. You can't make these shifts stop,
right?
But what you can do is actually
adapt to the shifts and
keep improving your
life and your community's life by taking
certain actions.
That's what ayurveda says that's what
charaka says that you have
to actually figure out ways
to always adapt to
the changes that are happening to keep
making yourself healthier and
happier and your community healthier and
happier.
So charaka says you pay
attention you pay attention you study and
you figure things out
because there are always ways to do that. And I
know that in our yoga that we taught we worked
a lot on strength to make your body stronger. Yes.
We also worked on making our
body more mobile not flexible, but mobile
big difference huge difference. We also
worked on making our lungs our breath stronger
last longer be more
adaptable actually. Yeah, and we
also worked on making our mind through meditation
through different mantras
mudras things like that to be able to stay focused
longer. Yes, so and not be stressed
exactly. So that was our style of
yoga and I know that our style of ayurveda works
a lot again on making giving our body
the right Foods in order to build
Muscle to assist the body in feeding itself
properly to become better mobile to
also give the brain the ability to
become adapt quicker. Yes and to
also become more agile.
I would say yeah. Yeah brain agility.
yeah it's huge and with that Also We
also use astrology. Yes
because astrology I like how you always say
it's a unfit or un Something challenge or
what? It's unfair Advantage. Yeah, that's it.
Yes because it tells you what tomorrow
might be exactly because
it's all based on statistics exactly and statistically this
could happen tomorrow. Yes. It's a
higher statistic and I know that when this
comes out, we're in a pretty s***** time.
Yeah. It's actually rough
time the next few months are pretty rough.
So with that you can actually see it and
work with it and then you it doesn't
affect you and make you more it actually
assists you from not becoming depressed or
not becoming weak or not becoming something because
you already know that it's gonna happen exactly. It's
a like the Marcus Aurelius
meditations, right Marcus Aurelius would get
up every morning and he would tell himself
that his day was gonna consist of
people who were going to try to hurt him
you know, kill him
execute him and all these and he
would also encounter people who were gonna help him all
that stuff. So he was preparing himself
mentally, right? So nothing would
throw him off. That's that's how
I look at astrology. Yeah, and it
gives us the ability to see that okay like today
when we're recording this
It says we shouldn't really be around people right? Yes.
So it's a good day to stay in or
hang out without people around
exactly and if you encounter a
possible confrontation just change
the tune so that it
doesn't escalate that's all it is
So with that you
combine
The yoga we teach along with the ayurveda we teach along
with astrology in order to help you not
become stressed and to get
rid of depression and to help yourself to become
the healthiest
Person that you can be. Yep. And so
with that that's what we're going to be talking in
This series is using those three things. Yes.
Am I correct in using those three things? Yes, absolutely
to be able to be the best You can
be exactly is that an Army commercial be the best you can be
be the best you can be. Well, yep. Actually that's what ayurveda
says, ayurveda says you always wanna be
the best you can be for yourself
and for your community and that's
why we named the podcast also Spartan mind
strength because that was the idea of the Spartans
to be the best You can be not just
for yourself
For yourself within your community.
So ayurveda looks at
looks at everything
you can do within your environment
in order to make your body
mind and emotions healthier.
Because there are always Solutions your
environment gives you but what happens
is most of the time we miss them right?
We don't see them and what charaka
did is he documented as
much as he could from his research
and his travels and everything in order
to give people that information.
Because he could see that people were missing
out on amazing things that
they could be doing that they were not doing.
Okay. Now with that is it
difficult real ayurveda is
very simple. The reason
that real ayurveda is so simple is
because it is a...
